Striking a chord with Viros Music, The network of love.
This online show is called Strike A Chord featuring songs from The Network Of Love album and other musical works by Nedrick Gavin and associated artistes, writers and composers who give permission for their songs to be played on the program. The Network Of owner and host Nedrick Gavin (Neddy G) introduces th e program called Strike A Chord with Viros Music and The Network Of love.
This program is intended to engage the audience and have them pay or make a donation for the track being played, or the live performance of an artist/singer. Striking a note, or a note is struck when someone from the audience donates $1.00 to the show, this amount may change from time to time depending on circumstances and the event being broadcast at that time. For example, if the artist is in the studio and is performing the song live as opposed to just playing a pre-recorded track, the starting note minimum amount would be $15.00. This empowers the person to select a song from the list of songs, or request that the artist perform a live version of the song on live broadcast.
The host will start playing a song that the person from the audience selected. A second person can strike another note which is a duo tone A chord. This second person will have the ability to stop the song that was playing from single A note. This will mean however that the second person will donate $2.00 to stop the song ($30.00 minimum if live performance) and choose a different song. This cycle continues until the third person strikes a full chord, $5.00. ($minimum of $50) if live performance. This person pre-empts and overrides the other notes, and his selected song is played in full without interruption.
The sequence is as follows: Using live performances in the studio or pre-recorded songs.
1. The disc jockey / host or a member of the audience donates $1.00 to start playing a song from the list of songs pre-selected for the show.
2. Someone in the audience donates $2.00 to stop the song and request another song that is on the list to be played.
3. Another member of the audience donates $3.00 to resume the previous song or request another song.
4. Any member of the audience can strike a full chord donating $5.00 and pre-empt all previous songs, this will cause the song to be played from start to finish without interruption.
$1.00 = One note = 1 Thumb up
$2.00 = Two notes = 2 Thumbs down
$3.00 = Three notes = 3 Thumbs up
$5.00 = Four notes = All Hands-on deck. This is the pre-emptive strike.
